A combination of Hatha and Yin Yoga practices coordinating movement with breath. You will learn to pay attention to the sensations in the body as you move and absorb the experience. Practice mindfulness by staying in the moment without judgement or expectation.

Hatha Yoga begins with Pranayama (breathing practice), then focuses on a series of movements known as Asana (postures). Finish the session with Shavasana (relaxation).

Yin Yoga focuses on connective tissues: tendons, fascia, and ligaments. The poses are mat based and tend to be held for longer periods of time. This meditative approach to yoga also helps cultivate awareness of one’s inner stillness.

Please bring the following to each class:
• Yoga mat (essential)
• Yoga blocks, straps or a bolster (optional)
• A blanket, towel or warm clothing layers (optional – each class concludes with a meditation session)

All levels of experience are welcome.

For the health, safety and enjoyment of participants, class numbers are limited so bookings are essential. Please use the Book & Pay button below, or contact the Mornington Community House team on 5950 1889 or via MorningtonCommunityHouse@mornpen.vic.gov.au to reserve your spot!
