We’re excited to welcome Wazza’s Kitchen to Mornington Community House!

Warwick from Wazza’s Kitchen is here to help you create your own delicious food with incredible flavours. Producing good food is easy once you build the basic skills and confidence to experiment with flavours and textures. Come join our small, friendly classes where everyone gets a chance to participate as they learn new skills and recipes.

Upcoming classes in 2024:

Term 2: Homestyle Japanese Cooking on Saturday 20 April, 4pm
Learn to make simple and tasty homestyle Japanese food with authentic flavours and sauces. All the marinades, sauces and condiments will be freshly made by you! These will then be used to create a delicious meal of potato miso soup, okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake), Salmon Donburi, braised eggplant, milk-braised pumpkin and marinated beef lettuce cups. This class is suitable for a pescatarian diet, but please notify staff of any dietary requirements when booking.
Date: Saturday 20 April
Time: 4 – 7pm
Cost: $80 per person

Term 3: Spanish Tapas (rescheduled from Term 1)
Learn to make a simple and delicious range of Spanish tapas, including tortilla, garlic prawns and mushrooms, spiced chorizo with seared capsicum, patatas bravas, crispy squid with harissa mayonnaise, and pickled beans and cucumber. This class is suitable for gluten-free but not vegetarian diets – please notify staff of any dietary requirements when booking.
