What is project One Billion Stars?
It began as a mission to weave one million stars, inspired and in memory of Jill Meagher. Each star weaved aimed to build more resilient, connected and violence free communities.
From one million to One Billion Stars!
It is now a global star weaving movement known as One Billion Stars.
How does star weaving end violence?
Star weaving is a therapeutic, joyful and creative practice. It provides an opportunity to join important conversations around violence while creating something magical with our hands. Each star woven is a reminder to us all that violence in our homes, streets and communities, is not acceptable. We all have a responsibility to end violence.
How is Mornington Community House helping this project?
Building community connections and creating a safe sense of belonging, is the heart of the star weaving movement. MCH is an inclusive environment where people from all walks of life are welcome and can feel safe.
