Are you looking to be involved in your local community?

We are calling on individuals, community groups, volunteers and local businesses to fill in an Expression of Interest (EOI) to run a program/activity or a community service from our new facility at Mornington Community House, to commence in line with Term 2 programs in April 2021.

Mornington Community House is currently being relocated to Wilsons Road in Mornington which will be co-located with a number of community groups including the Shire’s Youth Services and Mornington Men’s Shed.  Participants can enjoy a one-stop-shop for community program, activities, groups and services at Mornington Community House.

The new facility is being designed to accommodate a number community services, programs and activities such as:

  • education classes for seniors, parents, young people and general interest groups
  • art and craft activities
  • space for community clubs and associations
  • public meeting rooms
  • health and wellbeing programs
  • consultation rooms
  • fitness and movement classes
  • support groups including peer support
  • playgroup
  • language
  • social activities
  • all abilities activities

Our current programs include:

  • Pins N Needles, fun and friendly knitting and sewing for all
  • Spanish Cuppa, introduction to Spanish lessons in an entertaining and relaxed environment.
  • Feeling Groovy, a welcoming group to all that enjoys spending time making music.
  • Living Happy Online, suffering mental illness doesn’t have to be a lonely journey. A space to talk freely without judgements.
  • Free Computer Classes online, learn the basics of getting online and being safe.

If you think you have a program, activity or service that would be perfect for the Mornington Community House, submit an EOI form as soon as you can so we can include this in our program planning.

Submission of an EOI does not guarantee your request will be accepted.
Submissions will be assessed by the Mornington Community House Coordinator and Advisory Committee.
You will be contacted by the Mornington Community House Coordinator to discuss your EOI and suitable applicants will have their place confirmed in writing for commencement in Term 2 2021.
